Who are quality engineers?

In industries, business processes are not perfect, designs may generate faults, teams fail, people fail, the methods can be misleading. There are countless variables that can cause a "non-conformity" in a product or service.

To avoid a nervous breakdown, industries develop internal structures to:
1) Establish effective methods of fault detection processes
2) Assess the adequacy of the methods of manufacturing to customer specifications.
3) Ensure that each department take control of the quality of its activities.
4) Identify needs for improvement.
5) Maintain all its operations according to the standards under which it was certified.

The management and monitoring of the activities leading to the accomplishment of these goals are quality engineers.

Professionals are dedicated to preserving the added value provided by each of the processes on the product or service provided by an organization and ensure that the management system is certified according to the standards.

They are the people who pursue the full realization of all formulated concepts of "quality of a product or service" and managers of many of the efforts to achieve the organization. 

Quality engineers are in the middle of the nest quality department. Its function is specific to its position and the area in which plays a role in the structure of the department but essentially runs three basic functions:

1) Identify and analyze issues concerning the integrity of the product since before its manufacture until the final product is delivered.

2) Develop improvements that contribute to the quality of the product or service.

3) Monitoring and control of the activities of the organization to ensure the permanence of process standards, materials, services and equipment.

These 3 functions are aimed at preserving the integrity of the materials, the adequacy of processes and production methods, performance management system, compliance with the objectives, improve system integrity and customer service.

To carry out its activities on quality engineer uses:

-Control and Measuring Tools 
-Tools for analysis and troubleshooting. 
-Tools Group and helps creativity.
